Cross Country Move v2.0

That's right folks, you read correctly! After the huge ordeal that was moving from Salt Lake to North Carolina, and then moving towns within NC, I am moving back to Salt Lake in 4 weeks! No, this is not another big family move thing, what it is, is COLLEGE!

Reasons Why I'm Totally Psyched to Move

1. I'm going home!! Where my friends are and all the places I grew up are!!
2. College. I am so ready for college.
3. My dorm is gonna be awesome! (not a hall bathroom, private room, kitchen and living room! whoo for apartment style dorming!!)
4. I'm taking a film photography class. How incredibly awesome is that??
5. Road trip with Daddy and my seeester!
6. New family car for said road trip!!
7. Have I mentioned that my college is awesome?
8. On that note, they have tater tots for breakfast. yeah. it's awesome.
9. I have the academic standing of a 2nd semester sophomore because I have soooo much credit!
10. IT'S FREAKING COLLEGE.

basically I'm ridiculously excited, and counting the days :) 27 days until I leave for SLC!! :)

Take My Hand, and We're Making a Sweater!

I have the best partner in the world. No not life partner or something like that, I'm talking debate partner. Except not exactly debate. Interp. Duo Interpretation. If you've never heard of it, take a look at this. So much wonderfulness.
So my partner and I have been doing really well at tournaments lately, to the point that the other teams in our event are talking about us and are a little scared of us :P It's kind of incredible, and I couldn't have done it without the fabulous creature that is my partner. I don't think there is anything quite as much fun as singing and dancing like crazy with people you adore, and then being able to perform and get awards for it.
And OH the inside jokes!! Pinecrest speech boys.....I have some shoes - they're black......Go for gold!.....and now of course, Take my hand, and we're making a sweater!
I don't have tons to say, just that I love my partner and my team, and I can't wait for the bloodbath that will be districts and states. And then hopefully nationals :)

I Fail at Updating

well... I should really update this blog more often.... that would be good :P

New Things/Things I am Happy About/Excited For

1. Doing really well at debate! (still haven't left a tournament without some sort of medal or trophy)
2. Actually kind of making friends! whoo!
3. Secretive Stalking and Special Charts ;)
4. Visits from awesome people (except that was one visit from one person :P)
5. New house that has my own room!! (pretty too!)
6. I got a suit!!
7. No more Earth Science or Marketing!! Hooray!! Time for 2nd semester!!
8. Brueggers. Mmmmm Bagels.
9. No more icky job :)
10. College acceptance!
11. College Scholarship!!
12. My hair is growing back!
13. Cute little kid books :)
14. Finally starting to adjust

Things That I'm Not So Sure I Like...

1. Lovely teachers being on maternity leave for 2nd semester...
2. Having to take the english class I took last year again this semester in order to graduate...
3. It's getting kinda cold
4. SO. MANY. BOXES.
5. Not having a job anymore
6. So many AP classes!
7. having to take an exam for marketing...
8. My marketing teacher losing a paper, and thus bumping me to a B instead of the A I should have
9. Hair won't lie flat today. Hello sticky out bangs! :P

P.S. I'm still way too excited about the puppies. LOOK! puppy!! :)

From now on, I will try to write on here a lot more. Let's make that a New year's resolution :)

Things I Am Not Such A Fan Of

1. Stairs, and falling down them
2. The large number of bruises resulting from such a fall
3. Really cold school buildings
4. Having over 4 inches cut off when you asked the haircut lady to only cut off one...
5. Waking up in the morning
6. Did I mention the bruises and ouchy muscles from the stairs? cos stairs are mean...

But overall, things are good :)

I Guess This Isn't So Bad...

Turns out there are a couple of benefits to being here instead of back home... and also just general good stuff in life non-related to my geographical location :)

Things That Actually Make Life Kind of Okay

1. 4.6 GPA. Awh yeah. They weight grades so wonderfully here.
2. 30/506 class rank :) That's in the 95th percentile-ish :P
3. Not so many homeworks :)
4. AWESOME NEW (probably) JOB!!! more on this later. when it's for sure
5. More time, because fewer electives that I feel the need to stay involved in!
6. Have I mentioned how much I love the food here?
7. Being Selected as a Westminster "Top Prospect Applicant" Hello faster admissions decisions!
8. Having an excuse to just not talk to people if I'm feeling antisocial!
9. This. I have been published on Sparknotes. And they didn't even tell me! :P
10. Senior Muffin Wednesdays. Yum.
11. Beach Day on Friday with the Family :)

Why I Still Miss Home

1. Still not big on humidity
2. Still not having so many friends
3. Once again, not so big on the school spirit
4. Freaking Freshman Class.
5. Frankly, it's home. I miss the people and the places and just about everything.
