House on the Market

Since this is the first time I've ever moved, I'm new to this whole "selling a house" thing. Boy have I learned a lot....

Things I Have Learned About Having Your House on the Market


1. The one and only time you don't make your bed the instant you get out of it, is the one and only time people will show up to look at it unexpectedly
2. You will also just happen to be covered in paint and wall plaster at that moment in time
3. You will also be terribly hungry and suddenly unable to eat the food in your house because you won't be there
4. The neighbors start looking at you oddly because you awkwardly wander the neighborhood when people look at the house, and when you go up to the door, you look nervous and unsure about entering your house
5. The entire house echoes because the furniture is gone
6. Nothing is ever quite the way you left it when you get back
7. You put more effort into making it look pretty than you ever did when you were just living there
8. You get super confused when you go to where something used to be and it isn't there anymore
9. One week of having it on the market feels like FOREVER.
10. You're a little afraid to be at home, and thus have a bag always ready to go with things like you wallet and keys and sunscreen, just in case you have to leave on a moment's notice

Summer! :)

Ah summer. It's awesome. Hence the me not posting cos I've been too busy being awesome and having fun :P but I'm back now and here goes.
First week of my summer was spent in Dallas at NFL nationals. That's National FORENSIC League. Not Football. ...It means debate. Anyways, that was awesome and so....

Things I Loved About Dallas


1. NO ALLERGIES!!
2. No rain :)
3. I met Gregory T. Burns!! (just a little interp nerd moment. don't worry about it :P)
4. Spending so much time with my awesome team!
5. Trading jokes with random strangers in the hallway before rounds
6. Watching so many AMAZING pieces!
7. top 1/10 in supplemental debate :)
8. "The Biggest Honky-Tonk in the World"
9. I didn't get sunburned!!
10. Basically everything.

Things that Kind of Make Me Sad


1. I am officially no longer affiliated with the West High debate team :(
2. Saying goodbye to my debate partner
3. My entire house echoes
4. Having to be not in the house at weird hours so that strangers can walk around in it
5. The giant For Sale sign out front
6. August 14th
7. My daddy and my kitties are gone, and aren't coming back

Things I'm Loving About this Summer


1. Spending time with the people I love
2. Uber sale on goldfish...yum :)
3. New favorite song <3
4. SUN!!!!
5. I saw a really cute lizard today :)
6. No more school!
7. Really and truly amazing friends :)

Music!

Pretty much my life can be summed up through song lately. Actually, no. SongS. yes. plural. For the past week or so, I seem to keep finding songs that basically ARE some aspect of my life, or remind me of a relationship with someone, or some such. SO of course I feel the need to share :)

Songs That I'm Sure Were Written About My Life, etc. (Yes, this does mean many famous people are obviously stalking me!)


1. This one is fairly self-explanatory. even though the bit at the beginning... a little weird.
2. :) d'awww 'nuff said.
3. grargh....yeah. this is me...
4. this is a touch harsher than what's really going on, but still. it fits. except for parts. mostly this one is just for the chorus.
5. THIS is bringin back the angst, but still is overly appropriate for certain parts of my life...
6. NOT FROM MY POINT OF VIEW but it ties in with number 4.
